Jobnet is a part of Memory Group, one of the largest recruitment firms in the Netherlands.
In addition to marketing work, we were asked to optimize their website, with a primary focus on mobile devices.
We divided this project into five sprints, with the first three sprints focused on research. The outcomes of this research gave us the opportunity to properly restructure the website and create a content calendar to write SEO articles and increase the number of website visitors.
This research showed us that the largest group of visitors are accessing the website via mobile devices. That’s why we adopted a mobile-first design approach.
Our UX-Designer determined the new structure by the outcomes of the research. To make the structure visual, he sketched a flowchart which showed which pages should be leading to which pages and what kind of interactions were possible.
The flowchart was also instrumental in facilitating the redirection of old pages by the development and marketing teams. By mapping out the new structure and corresponding pages, we were able to redirect old pages to their respective new pages, creating a seamless transition for users and preventing any potential loss of traffic due to broken links.
After the research sprints were finished, we started with designing the wireframes. We focussed mainly on creating an optimal user experience on mobile devices. The mobile website had to be intuitive and we thought about esthetics, functionality and usability. With these points in the back of our mind, we have sketched the wireframes and tested our prototypes with the target audience to ensure that the mobile website was easy to navigate.
